Seriosuly, what a nonsense.... He was a good ruler because he had conquered and was ruling India instead of Britishers who conquered and ruled India... He was converting people to Islam without there consent rather than Britishers using missionaries to do so.... Atleast in British rule, someone was answerable to some higher power, though it may not have helped many and most Indians but still there wasnt an autocrat rule of a King who killed his brother just cause he was interested in Hinduism...

Genocide in gujrat, over 200 riots to destroy their economic, psychlogy and morale, jailing educated muslim youths for years in the name of bomb blast, SIMI, POTA, TADA etc., defending their indianness or love for india even after 61 years of independence..... WOW!!!!!
If you don't like it here, for your Allah's sake go to Pakistan/Saudi Arabia/Somalia or whichever country will accept you and make you happy. We can do with few a muslims less here.

what abt Godhra massacre? wht abt Mumbai blasts? wht abt Hyderabad blasts? wht abt Gujarat blasts? wht abt Akshardham?parliment?J&K assembly? the list is endless...so do u think we are all enjoying mindless voilence? when it is riots, hidden emotions come out. dont try to come out with nonsensical replies like "Godhra train fire was started from inside,""BJP,RSS,VHP are behind the blasts."
for all the crimes try to screw the criminal, dont put the blame on a community. This goes for everyone here.

india was never meant to be a secular country. if it was the case why did it undergo partition? Pakistani Hindus were either brutally murdered or forcefully converted. Hindus in India showed some kind of mercy to muslims and let them stay and even granted them special rights which even hindus do not enjoy neither do muslims in pak and what do we get in return? series of bomb blasts, forceful conversions, rapes, murders and more than all that people like u telling us that muslims are ill-treated in india.. Wow!! T

wake up...it was only during his rule, AMughal empire started collapsing. He was the one who started it with his mindless wars...It was during his period only, Shivaji rose and gave reply to him in his language, by attacking a Mughal/Sultanate villages, whenever a Hindu village was attacked and plundered.

Hello Dear Guest, Even though the message is pretty old but still I felt like responding as the entire chain is heading into a wrong direction. No one is saying that he was flawless and perfect king. He was unlike anyone else and has his share of pros and cons and the only concern here was to clarify whether he forced conversion and demolished temples or not. Yes he did that but as rightly stated by Murali, that was situational rather than self motived..similar to what Karsevaks did to RJB-Babri Mosque. He was cruel in some context and on the same hand, some historians claims that he did a lot many good things too, irrespective of religious biasness. Do let me know if you need proofs or some reference books and I can surely refer some of them (to me it looked very close to reality but not sure if you will like that) Thanks, SAK

ask the Sikhs first, then come to the rest...
nobody is trying to degrade him, but they are telling wht he was when he lived...whether u like it or not, they are facts...
like or dislike depends upon discretion of an individual. u may like him, he might have been a gr8 man 4u, but for us, he is the one who killed Kashmiri Pandits, killed Guru Tej Bahadur, plundered and destroyed places of worship...
