Just A propaganda
by sheeraz ahmad usmani on Feb 17, 2007 11:43 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

This writeup by a French is just going to add fuel to fire. Some days back I read in a leading English newspaper about Aurangzeb by a renowned Historian, a Hindu(I dont remeber his name) of Hyderabad who has said that ..Here are the following brief about the poits
#1. Aurangzeb give various Jaagirs(thorugh Shahi Farmaan) as said by him to build temples. he had met some priests at temples and they have showed him that Farmaan written in Persian.
#2. Regarding Somnath temple ..Once a brigade of Aurangzeb was passing from Varansi. There were various Hindu Maharaza's and their wifes accompanying them. They camped at Banaras to have some rest. The wives went to Somnath temple. One of the wives of a Maharaja didnt returned. A search team was sent and they found a underground basement where the lost lady was found weeping, her clothes torn, and all ornaments lost. She was raped by Pujaari of the temple.
When AUrnagzeb heared this he ordered to destry the temple as it had got A-pawitra by this act.
He also ordered his army to found the pujaari and hang him.

This was the Article which was written in newspaper. I do agree that Aurangzeb was a cruel ruler but what media is presenting is just a cruel side of the life of Aurangzeb.

The other side is never shown as the history has so much manipulated by some vested intersts that the coming generation will only remember Aurangzeb has a cruel feelings toward Hindus.

And this will create more divide between Hindus and Muslims.
This writeup is once again in the direction to create a wide gap between Hindu and Muslim communities and all is done by some vested interests.

For your kind information, Varanasi is in Uttar Pradesh and Somnath Temple is in Gujarat. They did not have chartered jet planes those days to go to any place at will! So much for the authenticity of your story!! BTW please make use of the spell check before you finally post your message.

hi!

i just don't understand this! who the hell authorized him to pull dow temples...rama? krishna? shiva? why didn't he pull down mosques as well? by the way..he was no hero of islam. his bigotry ultimately caused the downfall of the mughal empire thereby ending the supreacy of political islam in india. i think muslims should curse him the most.

We are yet to recover, from the deviding tendacies of British - Forcing 'Pakistan' as a Separate Country, on Indian subcontinent.
Now this genlemen is inciting not only Hidnus against the muslims, but Sunni Muslims against the other Muslim - Read the para
'Finally, Aurangzeb is very relevant today because he thought that Sunni Islam was the purest form of his religion and he sought to impose it with ruthless efficiency -- even against those of his own faith, such as his brother'.
Let us wish, we don't fall pray to this propagand -a part of vested interest, and don't get mislead and continue to make India Global power very soon

Taj Mahal was Hindu temple and what about the Eiffel tower and Pyramids and the great wall of China , Hindunazis indulging in such propaganda are making themselves look like fools , rest assured Muslims will never even think its good to build a mosque on top of a temple , becuase temple is considered to be against the teaching of monetheisim of one god in Islam, and in way would a sane muslims would like to pray at such a place, but this myth only finds place in the brainwashing literature of the Hindunazi and Hindu terrorist organizations like RSS VHP and Bajrang Dal.

My dear Muslim friend,
if you read the article properly, the writer has clearly mentioned that a lot of Hindu people have chosen to ignore the misdeeds of Aurangzeb. This Marxist line-of-thought have given rise to such myths, as mentioned by you, justifying the horror spread by the tyrant. Even followers of Hitler or Saddam would have good things to say about him, but it may be apart from the facts.
Please learn to accept that maybe even your ancenstors may have faced the wrath of Aurangzeb and would have been forced to convert to Islam from Hinduism.
Preferably we should open the eyes to the truth.

Mr. Sheeraz,

Accept the fact that there is a divide ideological divide between hindus & muslims. i've too studies history & can claim your above citation as a piece of "bad history" written by a left leaning pseudo-secular historian. the fact that aurangzeb was cruel cannot be denied. comaring with hitler, he too would have done some good in his life. but does this mean that he was good in anyway - no. auranzeb should be remembered as a crulest despot in india's shameful history during the mughal era. no need to talk about fictitious facts about aurangzebs so called good deeds.
