HINDUISM IS NOT A PRACTICABLE FOR TODAY!
by Vaj on Mar 07, 2007 06:31 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Puranas and Vedas say that a true BRAHMIN is not supposed to cross the seas. That

is why God Rama didt go to Sri Lanka by boat. Instead he requested Hanuman to

build a bridge which took 12 years. It is possible today? Most of the Indian airline

pilots are Brahmins and today Brahmins are working all over the world. May be these

Brahmins also would have built bridges to America and Middle East like God Rama!

Now Achriyars (Brahmin Priest) have passed a resolution saying that the EGG is a

vegetable food. Tomorrow another resolution will follow saying that the meat is also a

vegetarian food. Today in North India most of the Brahmins are eating BEEF daily. Also

the Bengali Brahmins are eating fish claiming it as water flower. What these proving?

These prove that HINDUISM cannot be practiced in todays life.

Also SATI has been banned Brahmin women not only remarry. But also many men

from other religions. Devadasi and Bonded Labor systems are disappearing. Because

of the earlier mentioned leaders and reformists, today. Many Hindus (even so called

low caste Hindus according to Brahmins) are very good administrators, scientists,

collectors and are proving that they are also capable person. Today, not only are the

low caste Hindus entering into the Hindu temples, but are working as a HINDU

PRIESTS There are thousands and thousands of such impossible practices which were

mentioned in Puranas and Vedas that cannot be practiced in todays life which is

known to you very will.

You don't get it, Hinduism is not like Islam, people believe in different things, think of it as the Hindu civilization not Hindu religion. You will find whatever you are looking for in Hinduism. Tell us something new.

You need education. There are mths in Scriptures, but it was a way to inform wise words by the sages and how they observe it. But not all are myths. Krishna was yadava and there are people belongign to such caste living still in India. They mention about people who live now in different parts of India in the scriptures. Even Manipur is mentioned in Ramayana.

It's a way of life, and at it's core are the Vedas, followed by the Upanishads, which are part of the Vedanta, or the end of the Veda. They are commentaries etc. on the Vedas, with much disagreement. Ram & Co. come much later and some people believe they are myths others don't, as per Hindu thinking to "each his own".
So when you start spewing your ignorance on the world it doesn't actually make any sense. One could go so far as to claim that Hinduism has several religions that part of it's civilization. In which one can include all the sects that are closer to what the world sees as Hinduism and then the Jains/Buddhists/Sikhs etc. Which are part of the same tradition.

Like the saying goes "Ignorance can be fixed, stupidity can't"
