No this message is not in defence of Aurangzeb but Dear Rediff and the writer whatever your name is mate, why on earth do u need to fuel hatred, if thats what Aurangzeb did then all you are doing is fueling it and taking it to the next level, how many of us really care about what he did, how many of us who are still jobless and struggle to meet our daily requirements would spare a thought to an issue like this, I agree that history is important and empowers man to face modern problems and help deal with the likely outcome, but Rediff c'mmon guys come off it now, you guys are going from bad to worse, i am a big time SRK fan but dont wanna read so much of him as to what time does he sneeze n goes to bed and what toothpaste does he use and why shud Big B be the next president and what did Aurangzeb do, point me out the slightest relevance that you guys think that these articles have with even 20% of this country's population? c'mmon get some sense please and write some inspirational and meaningful articles please and try n create harmony between hindus and muslims and if u cant then just shut up n dont come up with such stupid and inflamatory articles every now n then.

Yes, The scriptures are meant for all the people of all the times. You just go to any arab country and see arab men wearing White robes and women Black burqas in such sweltering heat. Either you people don;t know about science or you don't believe in equality. What's your say on that?

if roaming around in bikinis is hip and thats what u consider development then my dear friend i wont go any far, our best home made example of gandhiji and his attributes and i m sorry if u judge people by their clothes and as far as development is considered then the above named Arab countries have a higher per capita income than us and if u dont know about Quran then read and then talk, read in it that what rights do men have and women have and how the term man and woman has been used equal number of times with showing equal respect, responsibilty and rights for both of them and how it is all still relevant in today's times and do not come with a mindset for God's sake, rationalise things warna yeh jo article likhne wala hai bilkul iske jaise hoke reh jaogey bhai.

Dear mushtashrique
You are right.
you can accept dark facts when you are mature enough to understand why & how they happened. Majority of Indians are still over sensitive to these issues & will flame up on recalling these incidents. Its gonna take a real long time for us to mature, think about shaping the future & then recalling & undestanding the past. Most nations that have accepted the past are the ones with one major religion. Its no joke to convince a billion people following numerous faiths about a dark past. Its best to keep the past there & move ahead. All religions have resorted to some tactic for propogation. If anyone brought out the facts about the spread of Christianity, Aurangzeb would sound like a kindergarten kid. The fact is that we are constantly facing a world that has more practical problems than spiritual ones. Every nation knows it can't survive by itself. Boundaries are opening up like never before. Communication couldn't have been better. All this is allowing human to human contacts. When you look deep inside yourself & others, you see no difference. Its something written down centuries ago, that had relevance then, that is still dictating the ways of life. Religion is required to discipline humans but law is not much different. There are plenty of Aurangzebs & Hitlers practising even today. Its just a matter of how we fight them to oblivion that decides what the world is going to look like in the near & far future. Lets wake up to accept human kind as one & sort problems that will let us all live equally & happily in the short time we are gonna be in this planet
