I am an Indian Muslim and fully support the ban on SIMI.Having observed the organisation closely I can say with absolute confidence that its ideology is one of secessionism and completely anti-national.However I am apalled to see the venom and vitriol being spewed on this message board against Muslims.Yes there are fanatic Muslims who are bigoted,intolerant and indulge in terrorism but show me any community which is full of saints.You cant generalise a whole community based on the actions of a few. It is sad to see that Indian Society, specially youth is still a pre of Sangh Parivar's Propganda.
My many friends were member of SIMI. No doubt, they had very strong concepts which are not general in the nature.
And yes they wanted to promote their concept. And a democratic system give everybody to do the same.
I personally dont believe that they were the part of any Bomb Blast or something like that.
I saw them in West Bengal, UP, tamilnadu serving the poor people. They were very calm and friendly for any individual who meet them but Yes they used to see all the Govts around the world as corrupt govts and they wanted a public movement.
I also do not agree on some points with them but it doesnot matter bcz i believe that everybody has the right to express his feeling in a great democracy like India

You are right. Hindus are not all saints as well. Some idiots are bound to be bigots. Since there are more Hindus, stands to reason there will be more Hindu bigots as well. So you should look at this with the right perspective.

Dear Anis You have expressed a clear views on SIMI. Thank you for the same. If only there were more sensible people like you (whether muslim/Hindu/Christian) who can keep their religious faith confined to their homes, the world would have been much safer and pleasant to live. Let us hope and pray for the end of all religious extremism. There should be more coventions involving world religions for a better understanding and to exhibit tolerance to other faiths. After all, our religious knowledge & preachings are only beliefs and who knows what happens after death... Long live Indian Unity Jai Hind

You are very right, Anis and I am really proud of you that you have spoken so well. Please do not think that I have any bias against any community but at the same time if you see how things are happening in this world and concentrate on the subject, you will understand that a greater deal of people like you are required to stop radicalism. The entire muslim community all around the world are at unrest and it forces me to think how can people spare so much of time for all this violence and killing and why not concentrate on constructive subjects. Have you seen coverages on Palestine, it appears as if people do not want peace by themselves. I have great respect for the Muslims in India, even though I live abroad. I also have some great family freinds who are Muslims. And I sincerely feel that they will have to build an image for themselves by proving that they are the same Indian community like any other in India and are capable of doing the positive works. It is very sad that very few people in the Muslim community speak against the radicalism. It is not going to take them to any better but surely life will become a problem for most of us. If we all hope for a better future, we also need to know what our actions should be...

If at all people want peace in world, please practice your relegion in your homes dont publicize or practice in roads, Don't bring relegion on top of your head and above all things. Just read holy books in your homes, dont impose on others. If everyone understands such a simple thing lives will happier than ever.

The whole community is not being called a terrorist, my friend Anis, it is being called a supporter of terrorism. And I stand by that generalisation. Look at you. You don't say anything when the koran says things against worshipping whoever i please or when it explicitly instructs the destruction of all other religions. So, why should you speak out now? You didn't shout with us when we asked for death to afzal or when we opposed haj subsidies or when we wanted uniform civil codes. you are crying now when all your previous acts have made us generalise you.

Dear Mr. Ashok Krishnamoorthy, Did you read our Holy Book KORAN or ever gone through KORAN ? How you can say that "KORAN HAS INCENDIARY STATEMENT ON OTHER RELIGIONS" ? I beleive that no Holy book has mentioned Incendiary statement against any religions. Therefore, please shut off your mouth and before opening your mouth and giving any coments on any matter/subject please go through the particular subject, do some home work on the subject then go ahead. Also keep a habit to learn more. thanks.
