Singur in the Doldrums.
by sudhin roychowdhury on Feb 11, 2007 01:37 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

I live outside India but am from Bengal.During the last 25 years what Bengal achieved in Land Reforms no other State of India could achieve. What the present Chief Minister Mr. Bhuddhadeb Bhattacharya is trying to do is something which Bengal had witnessed during the time of our legendary Chief Minister Dr.B.C.Roy. Bhuddababu is a die hard honest politician and in all fairness we shoukd give him a chance and not scuttle his dream BENGAL project.A little change in our ATTITUDE towards a better Bengal will definitely raise the ALTITUDE of Bengal and the Bengalis in particular.Bengalis have suffered a lot right from the days of British rule, to the horrible Partition of BENGAL and even now in post independent India.I think let us all give the present Chief Minister a chance. He has a lot of problems in hand even from his own party and the CITU also. But he is one brave man who is trying to lead from the front.
Sudhin Roy Chowdhury. Bahrain.

Mr Sudhin.
Budhdha Bhattacharya is trying to do nothing but "Secret Trade" with the industriaolists. He imposed 144 illigaly in Singur earlier and High court stronglu objected to that.He is responsible for mass kiling at Nandigram but has done nothing to punish the responsibilities.Even the 10 CPM caders whom the CBI arrested have been given bail.
U do not stay in bengal and is informed only through media what is happening in the state.Just come down and see what is the position of Nandigram.Police ruthlessly fired at chests of innocent villagers.Who gave them the permission to fire?(No answer till now).

I would request you to be a bit more updated about the states actual position before commenting on our HONEST CM.

You are absolutely right Mr.Sudhin. We should give our CM a chance and support him. We should not behave like the famous Bengal Crab story.

A long time has passed by when you posted your comments. In between the mass kiling at Nandigram has happened.Lately when Budhdha babu said "No land will be taken at Nandigram" then Mr Balai Roy(AG) inside the highcourt gave a comment that "There is no need to give importance what the CM says."Can you imagine what an insult this was?Still our HONEST CM is silent. He cannot say anyhting and has lost all authority.Actually he has recahed the maximum level of frustration and has gone down to personal level attacks inside Bidhan Sabha.
