They will continue to kill other religion peoples, now the people of India should think if muslims become majority what they can do! Because jihad teaches to kill the Kafirs(non-believers), Now all the congress people will shut their mouth for certain instance because they are fear of loosing muslim votes!
People like you I believe are in a minority in your community and for the sake of peace we hope that more people in your community come forward and in the open regarding these fundamentalist tnedencies in Islamic society.

I do not know arabic. I found this translation somewhere. Correct it if it is wrong.
VIII/12: When thy Lord inspired the angels (saying:) I am with you. So make those who believe stand firm. I will throw fear into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Then smite the necks and smite of them each finger.
XCVIII/6: Lo! those who disbelieve, among the people of the Scripture and idolaters, will abide in fire of hell. They are the worst of created beings.
IX/5: Then when the sacred months have passed, slay the idolaters wherever ye find them, and take them (captive), and besiege them, and prepare for them each ambush. But if they repent and establish worship and pay the poor- due, then leave their way free. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
IX/73: Oh Prophet! Strive against the disbelievers and the hypocrites! Be harsh with them. Their ultimate abode is hell, a hapless journey's end.
LXIX/30-37: (It will be said)Take him and fetter him and expose him to hell fire. And then insert him in a chain whereof the length is seventy cubits. Lo! he used not to believe in Allah the tremendous, and urged not on the feeding of the wretched. Therefore hath he no lover hear this day nor any food save filth which none but sinners eat.
XLIV/43-50: LO! the tree of Zaqqum (The tree that grows in the heart of hell bearing fruits like devil's heads) - the food of the sinner. Like molten brass, it seetheth in their bellies as the seething of boiling water. (And it will be said): Take him and drag him to the midst of hell, then pour upon his head the torment of boiling water. Saying: TASTE! LO! thou wast forsooth the mighty, the noble! Lo! this is that whereof ye used to doubt.
IX/123: O ye who believe! Fight those of the disbelievers who are near to you and let them find harshness in you and know that Allah is with those who keep their duty (unto Him).
IV/144: O Ye who believe! choose not disbelievers for your friends in place of believers. Would you give Allah a clear warrant against you ?
IX/29: Fight those who do not profess the true faith (Islam) till they pay the jiziya (poll tax) with the hand of humility.
No doubt its a very inhumane act, whosoever has done it deserves severe punishment. I am sorry for Geeresh Kumar's family and really hope the culprit would be brought to justice sooner or later. Having said that, lets not be stereotypic and start generalizing things with little information we have.

Above verse it taken from Chapter 9 - "Al Tauba" of Holy Quran, which means "The Repentance". It was revealed during times when believers were continuously tormented by "Pagans".
First verse: 9:1 A (declaration) of immunity from Allah and His Messenger, to those of the Pagans with whom ye have contracted mutual alliances:-
The modern day term for Pagan is Infidel/Idolator. But in this context, Pagans belonged to the arabic tribes during the time of Prophet (SAW).
Fifth verse: 9:5 But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the "Pagans" wherever ye find them, an seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war); but if they repent, and establish regular prayers and practise regular charity, then open the way for them: for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.
So, Prophet (SAW) and the believers are asked to fight against their tormenters and establish the right path.
Having said that, thre are many chapters which talk about the response to people of other faith:
For example - 109 Al Kafirun (The disbeliever)
109:1 Say : O ye that reject Faith! 109:2 I worship not that which ye worship, 109:3 Nor will ye worship that which I worship. 109:4 And I will not worship that which ye have been wont to worship, 109:5 Nor will ye worship that which I worship. 109:6 To you be your Way, and to me mine.
Its the responsibility of every Muslim to spread the message he/she believes in. Its up to the others to take it or not. Forget killing, we are asked to treat all others with respect and love, irrespective of their beliefs. If anyone is interested, I will be more than happy to get the relevant verses.
We are all given power to think, analyze and understand. My humble invitation to all those who feel and write that Islam spreads violence - please read the Holy Book once in entirety. If you still feel the same, then you have every right to comment. If you don't care, so be it. But don't spread hatred with limited information.

i have not read the Quran (and not planning to do so either), but thats what is being taught to the muslim youth and thats what is being pracitsed, killing non-muslims. i understand that not all muslims are like that, but a majority atleast support this kind of cleansing.
