Due to the two party rule - the interests of TN have suffered, inspite of having hardworking and industrious people- the state hasnt progressed as much as it could(though it has progressed better then many other states).
Saddest remains the fate of chennai which has seen decay and detoriarartion over the years :(

I am a Tamil born and brought up in Chennai. I have seen and lived in most cities in India and a few abroad. Sorry to say this. Chennai is one of the dirtiest and most unpleasant cities in the world.

chennai is a good city only for tamilians n not for any other state's people...infact its the most horifying city to live...infact 1 will feel dat he/she has come out of india if he/she starts living in chennai...the most selfish state in India who thinks about only themselves, their culture, their food, their language...horrible z d only appropriate wrd which best replaces chennai..

Dear Raktim Chatterjee, Your postings typically reflects the famous idiom "POT CALLING KETTLE BLACK". In your opinion, Kolkata is the only best city and you bengalis are the most sacrficing people. Let me tell you one thing. REcently I was at Kolkata near Park Street, where hifi offices are situated. I was shocked to see people taking bath on the foot path and more horrifying sight was that hand pulled rickshaws. I dont think any other major city in India have Hand Pulled Rickshaws, other than Kolkata. Dont blabber too much, without knowing the facts.

Get people to totally boycott Malls and shops without parking lot. Then you will see how the city turns around..
