Strange moderation of comments
by on Feb 07, 2007 09:45 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

I visited this article today and wanted to see the comments. Since a lot of them have been deleted, I was trying to figure out what they said. Oddly, it appears as though comments that bash the author have been retained, and those that support him have been deleted. Does this imply a certain intolerance among Rediff's thought police? Are they promoting -- horrors -- censorship of what they do not like? Whatever happened to freedom of speech and other such niceties?

Your message will be deleted soon. But here's a hot tip for you. Get a Muslim name as your 'handle' by signing up on rediffmail.com. Then all your comments will be retained forever. The low-level Rediff flunkeys who scan these messages are true pseudo-seculars, meaning they always assume that anything said by a Muslim is a pearl of wisdom, like in the case of this Imaan above. Imaan will be able to say anything on this bulletin board. His words are all pearls of wisdom. They must be, especially since he is probably a Pakistani.
