It is obvious that the author of this article has not read the verdict in its entirety. He has failed to note important points like - 50 tmc of catchment water will remain with karnatak other than the 270 tmc alloted. Moreover, you need water to recharge ground water...it does not appear magically ! Unfortunately people are only reading the final 2 numbers and not the details. Actually, Karnatak's only problem is that there is no clear cut distress sharing formula in the verdict.

yes clear verdict on how the water is shared during distress years is more important. tamilnadu wants to play politics then during drought years for votes. now what karnataka asking is not something out of world. yes, in a way karnataka can smile all the way and if needed they can get a favourable verdict from supreme court. who spoiled tamilnadus party - its politicians who who compete in distributing free sarees, tv's, mangalsutras/thalis, rice etc. who suffered. the people who voted them to power
flaw in not in the article, its in the minds of the biased reader.
