Because congress is not used to give respect to President since India got independent. They enjoyed unlimited power for many years, persidents were made to respect PM and cabintate rather. Thats why the infamous word "Rubber Stamp persident" came in to picture. Now scenario is changed, Kalam is the first non-politically affiliated president (Kudos to NDA and Vajpayee for this gift to nation), he is not subscribing petty political moves of the ruling UPA/Congress so this arrogant alliance and their leading party would definitely try to undermine the stature of president. Unless people shatter the arrongance of these bunch of idiots, they will continue in disrespecting President and harming the democratic fabric of the nation.

this is the typical disease of muslims who find every thing done by BJP as harmful. They should understand that it the congress who have clearly divided the society in the name of religion and in the name of minority showing or acting as if they are doing a big help to muslims and doing nothing on the ground. At least educated muslims should recognise this dirty game of congress.

You are right. The culture has been developed by congress and no president has been spared till date. All were mere "rubber stamps" who never dared to exercise their powers. Mr. Kalam was taught to be different from all of them, but the Afzal case has forced us to believe he is no good either.
