India needs to believe in itself
by raghu sridhar on Feb 06, 2007 02:51 AM   Permalink

If India keeps copying the west, then it will always be trying to play catch up.We can set up our own standards that are better than most developed countries in the world.
All the young people of India should read the book " Confessions of an economic hitman" by John Perkins. This book tells a true story, of how one country is trying to build it's influence(Cultural, religious)on the world, without even having to go to war. If the youth of India read this book and take initiative, then India could be a power to reckon with, in it's own right, and actually be more responsible towards this world, than exploiting the world for it's own good, like this country.
