Looking South from Kolkata
by Indra Sengupta on Feb 06, 2007 07:52 AM   Permalink

I had been to all the places in South India, almost.
Chennai, Kanyakumarika, Ooty , Mysore, Palani, Madurai, Rameswaram, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Araku, Bora Guhalu,Bangalore, Palani, Tirupati,Pondicherry.
I liked the people over there very much.
Very dedicated, religious and hard working.
Ladies come out to work in huge numbers, with flowers on their hair.
Ladies also drive two wheelers much more in number compared to Kolkata.
I also like the Telegu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Tamil songs and films very much.
Shame on me I do not understand the languages at all, but I appeciate the tunes of Elliaraja very much.
Not much scope for me to venture further but would love to do so.
My respect to all of you Sir.
Have a nice time.
