Just because water is free, it id free for all. Instead of using age old pracitise of flood irrigation which is found to be scientifically worthless and wastes water, fertilizers and also reduces yeild due to rotting of roots, let the tamilnadu government use the resources at its command to educate its farmers and also its agriculture experts to go in for sprinkler based and SRI method of rice cultivation which not only saves 50 % water but also give more yeild by 30% and save money on all the fertlizers which get washed out to sea because of excess use of water. This applies to not only both these governments but also globally

My dear friend, It is the preach what you practise. I am a farmer who is doing all the stupid things mentioned above and hence propogating the things. Dont assume things you dont know anything about. For all i know you could be softy sitting behind a computer making these statements
