Come on people
by Southie on Feb 06, 2007 02:25 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

all of you are getting emotional about a decision that is made by a committee. this committee does not favor either state. This neither a victory for TN or a loss for Kar. its a victory for all Indians that this divisive issue could be put to rest. As a fellow South Indians (neither Tamilian or Kannadiga), I am glad this issue is now over and I hope all respect it.

This issue is not over. It is just a beginning.
even with wrong and injustice this decision, I don't think TN can get the above said allocation easily. This issue is going to prolong as KN is going to appeal and disregard the current verdict.

No stay cool. We want some companies to move to cities in TN which will get a better water supply. Cauvery water will not be shared with Maharashtra or West Bengal. Hence no advantage to the companies if they move to Kolkata, Pune or Mumbai!!

Just kidding. :-)

The truth is that if the Indian population continues to grow at its current rate and the rains fail every alternate year, no amount of water from any river will be enough for us.

We have to look at all factors leading to growth and progress of the people of TN, Karnataka, Kerala & AP.
