Politicians only wants to gain a mileage pl understand details of verdict before becoming violent on media publications. Total water generated by cauvery in karnataka on average rain fall - 462 TMC. In this karnataka share - 270 TMC - 58.44% TN share - 182 TMC - 39.45% To sea - 10 TMC - 2.1% Total water generated by cauvery in Tamilnadu.on average rain fall - 270TMC TN share - 237 TMC -87.1% Kerala - 30 TMC -11.1% Pondicherry - 7 TMC - 1.2% Sea - 3 TMC - 0.6% WATER FROM TN CAUVERY BELT DOES NOT FLOW IN REVERSE DIRECTION TO KARNATAKA.
Please understand and dont go by big figures(419TMC) of TN(as the more water to it is got from its own catchment).
Here a balance is drawn to utilise water more resourcefully for agriculture.
we as Indians should not get instigated by happiness of TN chief minister or sorrow Karnataka CM, we should think on linking all national rivers to solve water problem for every citizen n country. Just imagine Brahmaputra - 3500 TMC only flows to Bay of bengal. Similarly how much water goes to sea Ganga - Yamuna- Godavari- Narmada- Mahanadi- Indus- flows rapidly in north never dry. Sutlez- borders India but can be utilised better.
WE HAVE ENOUGH RESOURCES BUT NOT UTILIZED BECAUSE OF POOR VISION OF ALL EARLIER HEAD OF STATES , WHOOSE FOCUS IS PIGGY POLITICS TO WIN NEXT ELECTION.

Total availability of water is 750 TMC and if you are pleading fo 560 TMC, then what kind of sharing you are talking about? You are asking everybody involved to put with your opression...

Exactly, I would like to know what is the basis of the demand for more water to TN than Karnataka. Is the demand been looked into. What was the basis of the calculation? Was the total irrigable land looked into? Was the kind of crops grown there looked into? Was the water required for irrigation in the two states calcualated scientifically. If yes, then the details need to be provided rather than send a one line notice of the award.

The average data collected is of 100 years of rain fall, capacity of our dams that can irrigate the land in both states because of dams & as well as the course of flow.
The tribunal consists of water resourse planning experts who are much more qualified than me & u ,
more than all we must think future rather than quarelling,
we are all divided on what not- religion, caste, creed, language, state partition, water distribution, power distribution, petty vote bank politics etc.
Being educated we must talk, think & leave as better citizens of India.

The Demand is more as per the Riperian Rights, the last point is entitled to the water so that the entire strech will get water
