all of you who want afzal to be hanged do not how indian judiciary and police works.(nithari is good example) i am saying this because i have been to jail for almost 40 days and a brush with cbi and the reason i am muslim. the inspector only said all muslim ar crimnal. of course despite best effort they could nto prove it.( and in tihar jail i met host of so called muslim terrorist who are just poor people and cannot afford lawyer, as i write i know of bangldeshi who did his grads from one of the respectable colleges in delhi is rotting in tihar arrested for being terrorist and since it could not be proved no matter how hard the IB tried he is there since last two years for violating visa rules (the punishment for which is max 6 months).

I feel sad for you and pity on the current system, current educated youth (Hindu or Muslim). Whoever is in power anywhere, keep paining the other people.. Don't know where my India is heading? Mazher - I completely sympathise with you and statistically there are more Hindu terrorists in South Asia than there are muslim terrorists( most of us forget the LTTE and ULFA and Naxalites and Khalistanis ( who are basically Hindus ) in the past) who have caused more damage to India than some muslims have - having killed two former PMs of India , one President of Sri Lanka and numerous Indian Soldiers in Lanka and Assam. Yes - some muslim brothers of yours are giving you a bad name and you will suffer for sometime because of their deeds but those bad times will pass one day. There are some serious perception problems which Muslims face - much of it because of doings of some radical elements and I think you must raise a voice against these people. Other Indians will start accepting you.

anurag i have no grudge against anybody . i fully unerstand there are good people and bad people irespetive of caste, color race etc. but my problem is with the bias and our hypocracy.we want to live with it. (when a cow grows old the man will go and sell it to butcher and say no go-hatya)he will wear the best leather boots made from the same cow hide and still say no gow-hatya.) how long we will keep doing this?

Look within my friend. You have raised an example of what is wrong with some Hindus with respect to their attitude towards the cows.That question will solve nothing for you. You have to worry about what is happening to you. You are being painted with the same brush across the world - from China , to India , to Africa , to Europe to America. I don't have the answer to that. If someone looks at me and thinks I am a terrorist - I will be very worried. And I will want to know why. Time you start finding out why it is happening that way.

much like Kashmiris fight for homeland and not for Islam. LTTE is purely Hindus fighting against Sinhalese Buddhists. It is a religious fight for Hindus. They invented suicide bombing much before even Hamas did and are even more deadly. Statements like all muslims are not terrorists but all terrorists are muslims is nonsense if you look at facts. No - I support BJP btw. However I think mindless demonisation of muslims does not help India. They need to be weaned away from the large Muslim brotherhood by making them feel as part of India. The rotten elements amongst them must be eliminated - and I blame congress and samajvadi party for supporting only the rotten elements of muslim population.

Anurag and Mazher with due repsect Afzal i completely sympathise with u.Now Mr Anurag I hope my point wont be taken from communal aspect,but if u mean to say terrosist in kashmir are causing less trouble than eastern india,why dont u just wake up and see past records a bit clearly.Where our country's 50 per budget goes.And blaming police straightway for this Mr Afzal isnt the right thing.They are not gods.In the past from software engg to one very with very respectable degree have been caught in terrorism activity.And if u think its against one community then see how ulfa terrorist are caught.Would be in same manner on the basis of doubt and at times survelliance.When u say Afzal is wrongly convicted then my dear friend he has accepted by himself his awareness of the parliament attact what else u want.And I am not a avid supporter of thackeray what wrong he has said about Mr kalam.Y he is playing a balancing act y not take a decision

dear Mazher sorry but being a gujarati I have to write everytime that gujarat killings are badly reported.And if u think that one commuity was benign and other on rampage its a myth.Take recent baroda riots or whatever.Friend go into details of it.5 temples erased for broadening of road nothing happens.After talking to Muslim cleric getting nod for them to remove mazar,stone pelting and anti-muslim govt slogans start.Two hindu boys stabbed to death and Two muslim boys stabbed to death.Just see the post godhara file report and see how many hindus and how many muslims died.
No one lets Nithari or Gujarat happen by conscience. It is more of our haplessness and helpness that we do bear witness to such incidents and because the perpetrators of such heinous crime are from religion, the blame is apportioned onto it. Honestly, such crime is more a function and play of personal factors and less from such organised industry like certain worship centers, which have just one business in common, i.e., disseminating hatred against every other religion. Friend, it is a blame we all must share because we allow such terrible acts happen without ever creating an environment to desist and possibly to root such fundamentalistic practices from our worship centers. People like you ought to shoulder the responsibility of creating more groups of conviction that the other religions are meant to work with... not certainly to fight with. Precisely when people like you embark on such all religious comptible assignment, can we ever see such Afzals finding less and less fertile climate to commit such dastardly acts of killing humans in the name of religion.
