I bow to the General on what he said about career. Nowadays even armed forces has become a mere job market. Earlier it used to be a place where you can do good to the country.
But what I feel that the ration between moral and immoral activities does remain constant across time! Only the quantity increases as the total population also increases. This gives a picture that there are more and more immoral activities are happening only in present, which is not the fact.
What is sad is that, in spite of growing facilities in media and communication etc, common man cannot raise heis voice against these immoral acts. Either he changes himself to be one among them or safely chooses to be a neutral onlooker.
The think-tanks around should come out with a mechanism to bring the common man be more vibrant and voiceful when some thing goes wrong.
SopRaj, Bofars, Share Scam, etc are keep coming but none of them who seems to be reason for all these are put into bar. No legal action could be taken against them. They disappear just like their illegal acts do!
When common man's voice cannot be made audible, nothing can be done!

Not true.
20 years ago, it was impossible to imagine that someone of minister level would be taken to court and tried for his corruption. Just look into history and tell how many ministers were tried?
Today private media has been allowed. Only because of this now these corruption cases are coming to public eyes. Otherwise people used to think there was no corruption 20 years ago because there was no media to expose!!
And since today there is media to expose so, people are thinking that corruption has increased !!!!
If you use your head, then you will realise that with media's role increasing after 1991, only thing that has gone up is "publication" and "vigilance" of corruption crimes! And people analyse it wrong way. Actual corruption has gone down.
20 years ago, my dad needed to pay bribe to BSNL for phone connection. Today, i pay nothing. M L Thapan call this "loss of morals" or progress????
Sorry sir, I don't agree to such negative views of an individual and I protest against it because he is pulling all indians including me too into it!

example - shibu soren(A CABINET MINISTER) was convicted my court and sentenced to life.
this is just beginning. If media and people kept their pressure up, more things will change.
So M L Thapan is saying we are loosing morals or gaining it???
