Mohan Guruswamy's article about the REAL Benazir is spot on. Most Indian 'journalists', who borrow their stuff straightaway from BBC or Washington Post/New York Times/Time/Newsweek or Western media, are cronies of Benazir (probably must have received some favour or other during their Oxford/Harvard days, or a few photo-ops to flaunt) and are falling over each other to eulogise the woman, who, as Guruswamy and Francois Gautier have rightly pointed out, is dirtectly responsible for the Islamic terrorist/nuclear/jihadi proliferation in South Asia, not to forget for a moment her role in the ethnic cleansing of Hindus from the Kashmir Valley, which she proudly justified. Let us never forget that she was the daughter of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, the tinpot ruler who threatened 'Hindu dogs' with a thousand-year war, and who lied at Shimla in 1972. Let us remember that Benazir had exhorted the US to launch airstrikes against India in the immediate aftermath of our thermonuclear test at Pokahran in 1998. And by the way, let's not forget that Benazir had publicly admitted that she rejected Musharraf's plan to intrude into Kargil, not in the interests of any goodwill with India, but because her then army chief Jahangir Karamat had dumped the plan as it stood not the ghost of a chance of success! Had Karamat said otherwise,SHE might have sneaked into Kargil. THAT is the real face of Benazir and all other 'liberal' Pakis; don't be fooled by their 'liberal' Western education! Jaganniwas Iyer
