Why Can't Pakistan Get it Right
by Reena Goel on Dec 29, 2007 03:28 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Perhaps it is already too late for Pakistan to get it's house in order.
The only thing that should matter to the People of Pakistan is that they share a common religion. Nothing should be above that, not language nor region as the writer rightly points out.
If the Jews in Israel could unite and form a Nation why can't the Muslims of Pakistan.
Israel fights "enemies" outside their nation, not within it.
What was the point of a separate Nation if all it achieved was regional and sectarian self-interest.

Reena, Jews are caucasians. Their mind set is totally different from South Asians and Arabs. Nothing can unite the South Asians and Arabs. If it is not religion it will be language or skin color or ethnicity. See how Iran a nd Iraq fought for decades in spite of being Muslim countries. Middle east is easily getting manipulated by the western nations. If they all united they will be so strong .
