Dear Anil, As a former Mig 21 pilot can you put to rest the rumors about the Mig 21 being a flying coffin....or at least state your experience with this aircraft ? It will be eye opening to listen to your side of it as I am tired of this irresponsible media blitz that is making a mountain out of a mole hill. All the pilots I have spoken to have said that it is a great aircraft and calling it the Flying coffin is plain dumb and stupid and looks at this ac in isolation. Would love to hear your side of it.

Dear Anil, I second Major Navin's request. This would, for sure be of interest to many of us civilians too who have otherwise been widely mis-informed about the true facts of this Combat Aircraft from various sources that include news,politicians and other mass communication and entertainment media who are the first to spew venom about this aircrafts true capability when ever there is a mishaps involving the aircraft. Sure Sir, if rediff permits. If MiG-21s were coffins with wings as alleged by the media, I wouldn%u2019t be alive today.
