Bengal CM's Nandigram visit
by BIKAS KUMAR BHADRA on Dec 25, 2007 10:24 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

It is unfortunate to come across the rash remarks being hurled at WB CM Buddhadeb at a time when the hapless people of Nandigram are fondly looking forward to the restoration of normalcy in their daily life after 11 painful months of utter chaos and destruction.
It is not clear how the CM can be held guilty for the senseless continuation of the violent agitation by the opposition and the resulting total disruption of normal life even after his repeated categorical statements declaring that the proposed chemical hub would not be set up at Nandigram. If the CM feels that his visit to Nandigram will not give rise to any commotion but help the reconstruction of the agitation ravaged area, why should one feel disturbed ?

right, current cm is trying hard for investment. lobbies opposed to investment in bengal have vested interested in halting every proposal. mamata, medha etc are acting as agents.

No one can justify what CPM has done in nandigram.Just imagine, how mothers who lost their sons, will be forcd to attend CM meet, so as to show that she supports CPM, else face Communist atrocities.
Who says this CM is pro development, its just comparision , with work of Mr Jyoti Bosu, that work of this CM looks good. nothing else.

I agree with you Buddha is pro-development in comparison with Jyoti Basu. But Other leaders in west Bengal (Mamta and leaders of other left partners)are anti-development.
Then whom will people believe.

Sangh Parivar goons continuing their naked dance with their victory in Gujarat.

Sangh Parivar rioters attack churches in several towns in Kondhmal district of Orissa on Christmas celebrations. Hindu extremists are increasingly targeting middle class churches in cosmopolitan centers.

Sangh Parivar not believe in Democracy. It's cadres attacked on a big rally of CPI(M) at Jind, Haryana on 26.12.2007. BJP is a communal party, which is dividing people on the basis of religion and caste for gaining political power.

Sangh Parivar earlier attacked Don Bosco students including adivasi, priests and a sister attacked at Vadodara on 19.12.2007.

It is a pity that only CPM is blamed for the riots in Nandigram. By doing this people are conveniently forgetting the plight of CPM activists who were thrown out of their houses. Many of the CPM activists got killed. But every body ignores this fact. I wonder why CPM has failed to bring these realities to light !

what about 27 CPM workers who have been killed by so called Bhumi Uchhed Pratirodh Com. led by Mamata's Trinmul Congress? Are they not human being? They are also poor farmers, their main fault they are CPM supporters and supported mega Chemical Hub in the area.

Buddhadeb should quit CPM and join or form a progressive party. CPM has too much baggage for any reform. Calling CPM better than Mamata is like evaluating which gutter is less worse
