Why Modi appeals to Hindus
by Ananda Gudi on Dec 24, 2007 04:50 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

It is sad that a person of the stature of Mr. Raman has written this piece. It speaks of his true colours.

Does this mean that Mr. Raman condones the part played by Modi in Gujarat carnage?

How do you define being Secular hindu - a hindu who is remorseless, who spews hatred towards others - Mr. Raman?

Does the end justifies means, Mr. Raman? Does development erases all the sorrows suffred by the people in the carnage, Mr. Raman?

On top of all this he quotes revered Bharati who wrote those words in a different context during freedom struugle asking youth to Join Mahatma in freedom struggle. Bharati would be turning in his grave to hear Raman's co- relation of his words to the political scenario - an apology to whatever Mahatma dreamed of.

Every party practices the same politics of hatred. Killing of Sikhs by Congress, Poor peasnts by communists is all the same as BJPs gujarat carnage.

The need of the hour Mr. Raman is not being proud of being Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Jain, Parsee etc., but being Humane and respect other humans.

What he was trying to say is Hindu's are feeling threatened/colonised in their own country and they are feeling detached which is very very dangerous. They clinged on to Modi not because of attraction but because of no choice.

These secularists are treating Hindus as non Indian/ atleast unequal people and speaking of Minority welfare will make the country more dangerous.

So wake up people, treat everybody equally. Abolish the mindset of giving something easy will make people equal. No Never...When you want license, you need to drive the vehicle. For learning to drive, there must be equal opportunity and not 4 wheels for some and one wheel for some...Hope people take this point in right spirit.
