I am a proud hindu & Indian, but i detest modi & Bajrang Dal & VHP kind of politics. I think in a nation in which you are in 80% majority even the talk of "hindus' being defensive is not only absurd but also pathetic. I wonder who is more brave hindu the BJPian hindus who (in comfort of their large nos.) hacked to death thousands of helpless & innocent (agreed not all) muslims or Mahatma Gandhi who faced the british empire through his non-voilent means.
Hi Sunil, You are asking all the Hindus to bow their heads before the anti nationals and preach peace. Which world are you living in ? You have a very good memory of the Indian history of atrocities.
Here is the sentence in article that covers people like you "They feel that he removed from their minds long habits of defensiveness as Hindus carefully nurtured by the self-styled secularists" You need more introspection of your identity here. Else you will live in the well created by these self styled secularists.

The riots of the Gujrat was a retaliatry act for the killing of innocent ram bhakts in Godhra. I think they were fed up of the anti national muslim support of the terrorist and wanted to teach them a lesson. I agree it should not have happened, but it has happened and those guilty should be punished. but how long u want to harp on the same subject? and what about the killing of kashmiri pandits not mentioned at all? are they not humans? and u say Mahatma Gandhi who faced the british empire with his not voilent means. Did the mahatma face any lathi or bullets from the british? he was honorable housed in the jail or in any guest houses with all comforts. he never went to andaman jail like Savarkar or got the gallows like Bhagat sing. Dont compere him with the others
