Modi has won just a small state which contributes less than 25 seats to national parliament. He and his uncle Rajnath Singh will have to work really hard to get even 100 seats in next national election.
Even Mayawati rules a state bigger than him. Why this ho-halla on a regional election win.

well Mr.Monk or whatever,gujrat is a turning point in nations history because it showed that even development can win elections.This would encourage the chandrababus and sm krishnas,,naveen pattnaik like politicians who are pro development.
Secondly as far as mayawati is concenrned the more people of UP vore for these kind of politicians the more backward they would become.So good luck to them.

by M Sankar It is a pity that there are people like Monk, to ridicule a good development in the interest of the nation. All News papers and Electrnic media like NDTV ( I understand Pranab Roy has vested interest because Brinda Karat is his cousin) who predicted that Modi will loose, at the end gave 93 seats to Modi. But People of Gujarat gave the best mandate ever a party has got since 2002, when Modi got 127 seats. And now the Electronic media wants to say it is Modi's Victory and not of BJP. And Modi will be a threat to BJP leadership more than to Congress. But Modi says 5.5 Cr Gujuratis have won. Today he says, son cannot be bigger than mother, ie an individual cannot be bigger than the institution, ie BJP. If it is Modi's victory is it not Sonia Rahul's defeat . This is not acceptable to Moily . The way these Congress leaders fumbled to face TV shows, is a clear indication of Congress predicament. If BJP has to be careful about Modi, don't you think Congress must be more careful of their defeated mascot Sonia and Rahul. And kindly do not compare Modi , absolutely uncorrupt and efficient with Mayavati, an embodiment of corruption. She talks rubbish, Modi talks with pride, the Indian Pride.He says Bharat Mata Ki Jai. He is an Indian by Birth, by action and sincere contribution to society. He is not from a European country famous for mafia.(If one has doubts please read Maria Puzo's God Father).Concluding, it was a pity that Dr Manmohan Singh also joined this chorus.
