excuse me.. whats sins are you referring to?? everyone from the aryans ('sharma' eh??) to the greek, the french, the portugese and the british have invaded india. every invader has looted and killed. why are only present day muslims expected to carry a lifelong guilt for something that their ancestors (?) did a gazillion years ago?? speaking of sins, from butchering sikhs to the massacre of muslims, several hindus in this country are as militant as the muslims are. why dont u tell THEM to worship and purify their souls?? each time the '84 riots come up, people blame the 'party' but not the 'followers'..??!!

Present day muslims glorify the barbaric murderers and plunderers. That is why they started Mumbai riots when Babri structure was destroyed - it was not even a mosque because it had not been used for worship for 49 years - it was only stone according to Islam - like the Taleban said about Bamiyan Buddhas before destroying them. yes the babri can hardly be qualified as a mosque as noone had entered or worshipped their for decades. the hurt is over what it represents. a govt we voted for which promised to protect it but stood and did nothing. the riots that followed. then also, noone came to protect the muslims. our structure is destroyed then add salt to wounds, kill our people too to 'celebrate'!! DO NOT compare indian muslims to taliban. if you know anything about the religion, u will know that taliban does not even represent Islam!! and get over your obsession with ghaznis and gauris and babars. they were'nt indians. we DO NOT idolize them and they do not stand for anything we believe in. it is your lack of understanding and your distorted bias and hatred that makes you say that.

Dear Sunaina,glad to see a true Indian muslim.I wish all Indian muslims were like you. How many muslims express so openly against terrorism. People like you never respond to violence perpetrated in the name of religion which makes the majority think that all muslims are terrorists. When it comes to religion,Muslims do not think as Indian muslims.They see things globally.This also adds up.How many muslim communities voiced there concern and made an effort to rescue the Indians who were abducted in Iraq or killed in Afghanistan. Secondly many Indians after a stint in Gulf return to become BJP activists.I know many die hard secularists turning out as saffron followers after some time of their life in Saudi or in the Gulf.Muslim majority countries are never secular with an exception of Turkey.Why is that? Why should Islam fear about losing followers when the beleivers feel it as the best.The treatment meted out to nonmuslims in muslim states right from time immemorial is the case in point.Muslim brothers need to show tolerance and respect for other faiths and speak out when any element tries to take advantage of the religion.I wish people like sunaina make up our whole muslim world-educated,intelligent,reasonable and faithful.You deserve appreciation

Indian muslims were never like their foreign counterparts. but things have been worsening over the last 5-10 years and the 'jehadi' influence that you have been referring to is catching up in a very small but very significant minority of muslims. and you wonder WHY?? Hav'nt we had enuff in the last 5-10 years??

Well spoken Sunaina - I apologize for all my friends and "brothers." It is this narrow-minded bigotry in our country that promulgates hatred, and hatred begets hatred. I've had several Muslim, Sikh and Christian friends growing-up - they were as patriotic as any of us, and I have never ever felt insecure in their presence - I can only imagine how they must be feeling when they visit such forums. Frankly, I'm so appaled to see the comments people write here on these forums, and they go virtually unscrutinized. How come an actor frivolous statement in some glossy invites a court-case, but such venomous and hatred-spewing writing on Rediff goes unnoticed! So much for Incredible India!

hey sunaina ahmed exceptions don't make a rule my dear. so giving examples of war b\w ram and ravanna etc. shows desparation on your side to somehow beliitle hinduism to save some grace for islam. and by the by ravana was no saint and the whole thing is mythological but suicide bombing is not and no demons are the targets of such acts. you consider yourself non violent and staunch protester against terrorism but tell me honestly how many muslims do you think would agree with you. the majority would want you dead. i agree that many invaders have looted india but who is doing it now? muslims. citing past happenings aren't justifications for what your kind "ahem" your disowned kind do today. AND RAJA SUBRAMANIAM , I AM SURE YOU MUST HAVE HAD A LOT OF MUSLIM FRIENDS AND MUST HAVE GONE OVER TO THEIR HOUSES FOR ID ETC. AND ENJOYED THEIR GRACIOUS HOSPITALITY OR INVITED THEM OVER BUT TELL ME IF YOU WOULD GET YOUR CHILDREN MARRIED TO ONE. ITS NOT NARROW MINDED BIGOTRY, ITS CALLING A SPADES A SPADES. Raj Kumar, your questions don't merit an answer to begin with; anyways, let me try. You should learn to be human to begin with. The only way people like you defend yourself, all for the sake of arguments, is by getting abusive and raising hypothetical questions (such as whether I'll agree to a Muslim marriage for my kids). In this day and age, there is no way one can forcefully make people do things against their will, especially kids - I've no reservations on what to expect from this, and when such an event does occur, I would accept it wholeheartedly. You are not man enough to agree to such things anyways, so I know you will refute with more allegations to counter my response.
While we are at this let me also let you know of an incident that happened not too long ago - my family and I were watching a Ganesh procession in our locality when some of the BJP goons in the area teased young girls in my family. When we objected to this, guess what happened? My father, uncles and myself were thrashed mercilessly by a huge bunch of drunk goons. We come from a middle-class family and we have no influence or political power whatsoever, and we could not do anything. I'm sure that set of goons had people like you - you wait until this happens to you and your family someday... mark my works. BTW I've never had these issues with anyone else but with our own ilk! The point here is that this hatred that people like you have cultivated, will burn you along with everyone else in h^&l!
