We are happy with it, and we have progressed and have peace of mind with 6th century mentality, we don't take sleeping tablets.

This is the real danger, when you do not let your reason take command, but become a blind follower of your faith be it Muslim or Hindu or any other. Your religion is a gift of God, but you always have the right to use it within the boundaries of your interpretation, your present day thought process. Prophet Mohammed was living in the 7th century, Christ was born two millenia back and Lord Rama was born much before. Though Hindu society was very civilized, we cannot take all that is written as the Holy Gospel, to be followed blindly. Surely the imperatives, the situations, population, demography, educational level, disparities, leagl framework, etc ... everything is different andas (hopefully) enlightened people we should respond proactively rather than blindly. That would make us all savages like those in Saudi Arabia or the Taliban who believe they are doing God's will while breaking down the Bamiyan Buddhas, or the magnificent architecture of the Swat Valley in Pakistan, or the suicide bombers of 9/11. Surely if they have a God, they will be punished
