The ideal solution is to decentralize 602 districts in India into 'cantons' as in Switzerland. Cantons will prevent 'casteism' and socio-economic 'collusion'. And Cantons will promote cultural 'cohesion' in India.

But I don't think that our Indian political scene is fit to break into cantons....India is unlike Switzerland and it would be unwise to think of it even..

First of all we did not deserve Independance which came to us at dead of night. Then came Democracy which has totally spoiled the condusive atmosphere of our country with politicians, goons, thugs, scoundrels ruling the country as their whims and fancy. Dont compare us with Switzerland. We deserve to be treated and remain as slaves.
With all due respects to your well founded frustration... I think, personally, if I were to make that tiny bit of difference in getting on par with an organised system like that of the Swiss, is to DO IT OURSELF...
I really have been very vociferous on such discussion boards but every time it has come up with "brain-fed paradigms" that normal common people like us operate with in India.... We have to start thinking for ourselves... and the educated lot like us HAVE to step forward to show the way for our lesser privileged citizens...
Goons, thugs, scoundrels and politicians ARE having a gay time feeding on the mass hysteria OR confusion that the common Indian is in today PRIMARILY because they know that the educated lobby of Indian citizens WILL want to remain in their own comfortable cocoons till the time THAT COCOON is not disturbed... And they do precisely that...!!! To lend an air of "false security" to those cocoons.... It is for US to realize THIS and step out of our comfort zones and VOTE to MAKE A CHANGE..!!!
India needs people like us to help her in this period of transistion to being a superior NATION.... ruled less by castes and more by PEOPLE....
