Putin wud a give a damn about what is said or written about him..Mayhave embezzled funds but he enjoys over 70% popularity in his country, would never be another statesman trying to please the west, has always refused to extradite russians involved in wrongdoings outside russian borders, may have been inhuman but has brutally crushed Chechen fighting, brought abt economic turnaround after Yelstin left the country in tatters, put pride back into Russia...Done something atleast for the country unlike our politicians who only play the religious card all the time alongwith making shitloads of money...For him only Russia matter the rest of the world can go to hell..he has run the country like a KGB cheif should

Yea that too, OIL supplied the cash crunched Russian defense and space sectors much needed respite. As of now things have changed. Thanks to $435 billion dollar cash kitty as of 2007, Russians have tested new ICBMs as well as latest missile defense systems which are second to none in this world. Russia is massively upgrading its awsome military power. Days of 1990s cash crunch is over. Check latest about Russia in google news. Russian defense budget is second only to the US now. Superpower is back. Russia is also preparing next generation submarines, warplanes, as well as missile systems.

Hi, Price of oil was in the teens when Putin took over 10-20$. This is a lie spread by American media to weaken Putin in the Neocons attempt to control Eurasia. The economic reforms he initiated have led to an average 7% growth since he took over. He has used surging oil revenues to pay-off 200 billion in debt and creat a reserve fund of 155 billion 470 billion in currency reserves. HE HAS NOT PUMPED THIS MONEY INTO THE ECONOMY TO ACCELERATE GROWTH No leader has done more for their country than Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin(VVP)
