this exercise is akin to a movie venture with main cast being jackie chan and our super star rajni....
but while we go about this exercise, we are literally closing our doors once for all to uncle sam..and am sure, if it happens and if the chinese engage us in war, we would be helpless..if the US doesnt side with us, then rest of the super powers folow suit..even russia sides with china, even though we have strategic aliance with them.....

A good thought. But backing china leaving US in crunch is not at possible at least for next 100 years. In cold-war we have russia and in hot-war we have US. In Heavenly-war it will be pak-china.

No buddy - only a few months ago we had joint military air drill with USA. These are peace time goodwill military activities only. Besides China has much better ties with US, than us... so nothing to worry about.

of course, there might be genuine reasons for this exercise.but in the long run, given the almost rejected nuke deal with US, any tie up with china will only divide the military ties we have with US..US is never a friend of china.given the chinese human rights violation records and their economic rise will only be a cause of worry for the US...
