The blame game begins. It doesnt matter what religion or region the rapist and the victim belong to. It is a horrible crime and should be seen as such. It really sucks. It leaves a feeling of hopelessness and helplessness. It destroys the victim's self confidence - because they were unable to protect themselves.

Loan shark, you seem like all talk and no action. It is a big mental shock/trauma for war victims who lose their limbs/other body parts. Have you ever worked with any such patients? Try doing that - just spend a day with such patients as a volunteer. Talk after that experience.

Well that is an optimistic view, but most victims are not able to cope up with the emotional and mental damage that rape brings besides the immediate physical injury, especially if the victim happens to be child.

I try to do my best. I get tired. I stop. Then I get up next day and I try again.
At the moment what I am doing is very individual (that is me alone trying in my own ways). My aim is to do something more effective to do my bit to tackle this problem and I am working on it. Hopefully soon I will be able to devote more time to it.

People like Loan Shark intentionally belittle the plight of victims. I doubt if you will have much success with such people. You can wake up a sleeping person. You can't wake up a person who is pretending to be asleep. Anyway, good luck!

Yeah I know. But if I can make one such person understand the plight of rape victims, I will feel I have succeeded. I can only keep trying.
Awareness is very important to tackle this problem. So many cases go unreported because many times the victim is not seen as a victim - people think 'isse kaun shadi karega' if victim is a girl. And boy victims are at a bigger disadvantage, because no one like to talk about that issue.
