standard of journalism has fallen to such a level that this come out not as a surprise. The number of deaths will go up if the standard remains the same.

thats the point, for the quality of journalism they do, it better be that way. Still after all this, they are better off than being in SL, Pak, Somalia etc etc.

Just a moot point - if we want to get the top honours for this then let us kill quite a few more every year so that we can achieve that distinction too. After all I believe that we have too many unwanted, insipid and worthless journalists in our country. These "goons" completed some third degree courses from C and D level schools and institutions and embarked on ambitious "investigative journalism" projects. Journalism has never been this bad in the past. It has gone beyond the levels of decency and is fast becoming a shadow of yellow journalism. As a sign-off point I believe investigative journalism is still in its embryonic stage and has a long way to go. May be the last well known investigative journalist was Arun Shourie. The rest fell by the way side including my own state man - N.Ram.
