India's Democracy
by Raghu on Dec 19, 2007 09:03 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Though the progress is noticeable from outside, there are serious problems at lower levels due to poverty, low literacy levlels, lack of good primary education for all, affordable housing for poor, improvement in infrastructure, sanitation, health etc,. It needs very focussed, sincere politcal and official commitment. A gigantic task indeed! But wth acitve involvement of people, it may become achievable.
