China as George Fernandes said is our main threat Pakistan is nothing for us One week is more than enough But china is tough They are far advanced in military .Missiles ships etc.Sheer numbers,No western country will come to our help becoz trade will suffer Russia is angry with us Dont under estimate chinese They are in SL,Maldives,Myanmar,Pakistan having naval bases unless we are alert 1962 may occur
Your are right Pranam. But we have to be alert this time and we also need to make our base in Taiwan, Japan, Korea. This may possible if we allow to make base for US in India. US base in India is not harmful for India if we consider longterm benefits.

Forget it U mean chinese are will keep quiet if we go to Taiwan No way Japan NO Biggest trading partner.US not interested They have Taiwan Japan South Korea and our country has been at receiving from US when ever we were at war Lastly when Nuke deal is itself is not going thro india will not accept it China will apply trade pressure on US It is not all that easy Russia will not co-operate

Sorry mr bingo Iam not as hopeful as u I feel only way is advance economically as fast as possiable involve pvt sector in defence R&D(bec govt does not pay well) and go for force multipliers on existing weapon systems and build good infra structure and do not allow Nepal to go communist List is endless
US will surely accept it becoz they are quite aware of Chinese treat for them. Even US is trying for same but India is not responding well. Indian politicians has lack of future vision.
