No Real Chinese Threat

It is a misconception that we have a far greater threat from China than any other country. The sheer logistic would not allow China to overwhelm India. Yes, they have an advantage over India in many sectors militarily, including the personnel strength. But it would be very difficult for them to sustain a prolonged war. A Navy or an Air Force alone, may not win you a War. The strength of their Navy or their Air Force would be grossly inadequate even for a short war anyway . And the inhospitable Tibet would not allow them to move their men and machine to the border, swiftly. And it is not a difficult task for the Indians. A dozen of missile would make a good Headlines, but that would not make the work, any thing worthwhile.

It is also true that India may not be able to penetrate far into the Chinese Tibet. So there will not be any misadventure from either countries.

The Real Threat will be from the US. Agreed, we may not win any war with the US. And we must make some effort so that we avoid any confrontation that may lead to an all-out war with the US. As is the case now, the chances of any war with the US is very remote now. But who knows!!!

Let me tell u a vey simpe fact.U are living in your dreams.China has enough logistics in place to overrun the whole of eastern india in a couple of days.As for India, the army is a limping and rusty and corrupt machine.Let me give you a simple fact.During operation parakram in 2002, more than 100 soldiers died in just mining the rajasthan border.NO enemy fire. Now imagine what will happen if an enemy ,that too China decides to have a go.God help us.
