LTTE & JAYALALITHA
by BALASUNDARAM GOPINATH on Dec 18, 2007 06:50 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

While everyone fully agree with the statement of Madam Jayalalitha, the AIADMK supremo, one point has to be clarified by her.
She was ruling TAMIL NADU during 2001-2006 and till 2004 the NDA headed by Shri Vajpayee was ruling at Centre. Why did the then Chief Minister of Tamilnadu, Selvi Jayalalitha did not take up the issue of executing the death penalty to the Rajiv assasins. She should explain this to the nation, instead accusing others of supporting LTTE. First she should break her alliance with heer CLOSE ALLY Mr. VAIKO, before accusing others.

Still there is a considerable number of LTTE sympathisers are in TN. No political party dare to touch the issue. But, they would take issue in their hands while sitting in oppostion.

To understand the issue you should know geograbhy, demography and economy of Tmailnadu. 20 years back almost all the villages in south tamilnad having NRI families whose earning member was working in Srilanka. During the riot these people's properties were looted and most of them returned back empty handed. The story of looting, raping and other sorts of inhuman acts were told by them. LTTE was considered as a saviour of Tamils. The media, politicians and even Indian Govt took a stand of supporting LTTE and even taining camps are set up here in our country. After Rajive's assasnation the trend was changed but not completely. This is the reason you can see LTTE sympathisers everywhere in TN. So, we cannot blame anybody.

Dear tamilian....

There is no need to understand any sort of geography, demography or economy.... The reason is that if you go to a foreign country to earn your bread and butter... And then blame them for kicking you out... it would be ridiculous...

There is a very popular saying "If you want to live in my home, live by what I say"... Here the classic example is that of a tenant asking the landlord to adjust according to the tenants demand...!!!!

Tamilians went to Sri Lanka.... Sri Lanka did not call the Tamilians to their country... The problem with Tamilians is that they dont have an identity as an Indian because of such closed thinking mentality....

Lastly, despite the worst possible humiliation and genocides by British, Gandhi had the courage and determination to win against them on the basis of "Non-Violence".... LTTE is a terrorist outfit and no justification can change that.... An outfit that brainwashes women and children to turn into human suicide bombers can never be deemed fit to represent civilised people....

So please dont try convincing us... On the issue of support to LTTE, Tamilians will find that they are totally alone... even in India.... LTTE is a pest and should be squashed mercilessly.

Tamils dont need anyboyd's permission to seek self-rule there.

Dear Ritu Singh,
I never supported LTTE which is a terrorist organisation. My posting was to explain why so many sympathisers of LTTE in Tn. Moreover, Tmails in Srilanka has been living there for more than 1000 years. They are Srilankan nationals but with Indian origin. The Srilankan Govt refuse to recognise them with equal rights. This is reason behind communal unrest in Srilnaka. We are in main stream of national politics. Nobody can isolate us. In fact we are the king makers. Pl do remember it.

dear Ritu Singh learn your history first. The native Tamilians have been in Sri Lanka for thousands of years, they may have absorbed Chola and Pandyan Tamilo ivaders and immigratns in to their community and so did the Sinhalas. The Tamils haveb been ruling ther territories as seperate kingdoms and chiefdoms. And the Sinhalese theirs. ( althoug many of these so called Sinhala and Tamil kings were actually Tamil). It was teh British woh united the Tamil and Sinhala parts of Sri Lanka in to one country in 1833 and caused the problem. The SInhalas race origin also started when Prakrit speaking migransts from North Indian came to Sri Lanka around 2500 years ago. These Immigratns did not bring their woman folk, do therefore they took local andPandyan Tamil women as their wives. They also intermingled with the local Veddhas, Yakkas and Nagas. This and the intrdoduction of Buddhism changed the language from Tamil to the newly evloving language which was a mixture of Pali/Tamil and Sanskrit. Modern Sinhala has around 35 to 40% Tamil root words and its sentence and grammatical structure is Tamil. The population in the North and East of Sri Lanka remained Hindu so they reamined Tamil too. Infact the ancesntors of around 50% of the present day Sinhalas only migrated around 600 to 100 years ago form southern Tamil Nadu /Kerala( when Kerala was Tamil speaking) . So get you r fact coorect beofore commenting yuo biased north Indian. The Eealm Tamils are as native as the Sinhalas.

Can anyone give ONE example - where a politician demonstrated accountability?? Yeh sub log - gandhi naali ke keede hain and the most unfortunate part is that: these ppl. r the rulers and decision-makers!!!
When the heat turns on these accusers, they will use only one simple phrase, "The media misquoted me" and the matter will go into cold storage!!!
