U r right.Indian democracy is still not much mature.PPl give votes on the basis of castes,religion and the gifts,money distributed by the candidates. I saw many families giving votes to the candiate,who give T.V.,Mobiles and 1000/-per person.And when such candidate wins,he recovers all the money with great margin.
