Modi and the Ramanujam Test

That was indeed a great article. Bang on target is the analysis.

Just one point that is needs to be added is that besides Caste, there is one issue that has been gifted to us and that is the division on basis of language. That adds more to the permutations and combinations.

Correct. Sardar Patel was NOT for lingustic state. He wanted 4 administrative division of India: North, East, South, West.

The origin of "Language=nationality" is interesting. Its based on some obscure paper by Stalin.

Indian communists who have done greater damage than anything good, used that.

Effectively, it divided Hindus along language. But Muslims, even of Tamil/Bengali speaking qualify as Muslim.

Needless to say, division of Bengal and Punjab, where people spoke one language neither justify language=nationality.
