Intellectual is a word that doesn't exist in the Koran, people who are intellectuals are thrown out of their country and avoided by their community.. We have had a Ramakrishna Paramhansa,Vivekananda,Rabindranath Tagore,Osho and recently people like aashram bapu,Ravishankar [ the recent one's are nothing but just preachers of good and healthy life with followers from all religions]. Could you name one famous Intellectual from an Islamic background with a following of ppl from different religious sects. All they do to their intellectual class is issue FATWA's against them like Taslima, Salman Rushdie etc. These people have a weak fundamental setup which deprives their community members to become respected intellectuals.

Intellectuals in muslim world there are plenty.Saddam hussein, osama bi laaden, Joker from afghanisthan who bangs osamas sister ( cant remember his name),Gaddafi,Arafart, jokers in paki land, the MLA from hyderabad who threatened taslima, That idiot from the jumma masjid in Old delhi, Aurang zeb, The cretins from sod e arabia, hook handed cretin from UK who got deported, the list is endless.What nonsense are you talking about.Muslim is an intellectual from birth and more so when some thing gets chopped off!
