After OBC, they will bring in BBC, CBC, DBC, EBC, FBC, ... ... XBC, YBC and ZBC.
Enough is enough. When and where will it end?
My idea of reservation is not one that goes on and on.
The family that got it once must not be given further chances to raise their standard of living and improve their quality of life. No reservation should be given to any members of that family unit again, ever.
This means that since by now in the last 60 years we have covered all deserving people by now.
Why should reservation be given to sons or daughters of MLAs ,MPs, BUSINESSMEN, ANY GOVT OFFICERS, IAS officers' families for ever and ever, depriving the OTHER REALLY NEEDY MEMBERS OF SOCIETY?
We should now make way Blanket reservations for all on caste basis as they are a stigma on the country's name.
It is sad to have to note that for political gains, the leaders of our country are pushing back the gains being made by the technical force of citizens of the country.
It is also so sad to note that these politicians have no time to change the century old police act causing untold miseries on the public.
But they have all the time to call special meetings of ministers to discuss reservations. (OLD POLICE ACT is a slur on the name of democratic India and inspite of 60 years of independence, the politicians have failed to provide a clean, curruption-free and just administration to the people.
RESERVATIONS by QUOTAS IS NOT THE SOLUTION. IT is now THE PROBLEM.

RESERVATIONS OF ALL TYPES SHOULD BE ABOLISHED FORTHWITH.
Let's have a level playing field now for all Indians based on merit and merit alone.
Also, let's have it need based.
ONLY ECONOMICALLY BACKWARD PEOPLE (ONLY INDIVIDUAL PERSONS NOT COMMUNITIES) SHOULD BE GIVEN ALL POSSIBLE HELP FOR THEIR EDUCATIONAL UPLIFTMENT ONLY ... Right from primary and secondary education to college education for their bachelors, but -- thereafter -- by merit only for further medical, engineering, computer science, masters level studies.
HERE AFTER THEY ALL MUST ALSO COMPETE LIKE EVERYONE ELSE.
Now our quotas have become a complicated situation that not only involves education but several other things like service benefits, political compulsion, power to be gained by access to administration position, govt departmental efficiency effected by officers not coming from merit list, etc.

We should demand that all types of subsidies be scrapped.
Start a fresh, and give them to the really needy without their caste or religion being looked at.
There is Regional Variation in subsidization at present.
It should not be a state matter. Only a central matter with states helping to put the new policy in place.
Let's draw more specific distinctions between those considered "backward" today and those considered less so, or "have ceased to be backward". Then let's stop calling anyone backward, only needy.
That would be true affirmative action for all really needy and / or those that we did not give benifits to earlier.
