Intolerance in New Testament

Gospel of Matthew
10:33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. (10:34-36)
I came not to send peace, but a sword. ... A man's foes shall be they of his own household."
Is Jesus peaceful?

10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
10:37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Generally those who want to refute christianity google and read some portals which contain some verses that a non-christian looks odd. I argued with many people who, interestingly, mentioned the same verses as you did. If you want to know about christianity it is better to read new testament from top to bottom and use your brain to analyse on what context particular message was given.
Coming to the point, the verses you mentioned were prophecy or prediction which Jesus told His followers. After his departure from the earth there will be no peace in the world and sufferings for humans increase; droughts, flood, new diseases, wars, etc will happen. You can see this in Revelations.I do not want to prove it, by reading history you could understand. All these are indications that the world is approaching the last judgement. And Jesus did not mean that He will deliberately make people hostile to each other but the hostility will come. You could see that even some mothers sold out their children, some killed female children, and children once grown killed their parents. All these you could read in newspapers.
Yes we christians give more importance to God, the Creator than other relations. I do not find anything wrong in it.

Your problem is ignorance Mr.Cape Comorin. You have been taught for generations now about Bible, although europeans who brought this concept to you themselves read sanskrit & ancient hindu texts. They were simply awed by it!
World is much more ancient than Jesus and Bible itself.Hindus had already lived their prime before Jesus came for you!

You may cut and paste many verses from the portals that indulge in false propaganda. So before doing cut and paste better read the following portals
christiananswersDOTnet
answeringislamDOTcom
anointed-oneDOTnet
and many more

You may feel irritated while reading because you are trying by all means to find fault in christianity but I have no time to explain each every verse in the Bible. And moreover I will be out of station for the next two weeks and I may not be able to answer your questions. Even after reading those portals if you have any doubt you are free to post your doubts.

Cape,
if u dont want others to find faults with your religion, stop finding fault with others religions.

live and let live, but you wont listen, you people want to convert and increase numbers.thats what religion is for you, networking through churches, vote bank politics,UK visas, western funds.

Let money out of the church business and then see how priests run away from church.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>All these are indications that the world is approaching the last judgement..............you are creating a sort of fear psychosis in the minds of the gullible masses. Nothing is going to happen for another million years atleast.

As per proven theories of science, the world will come to an end after many many millions of years by losing the sun's light/temperature. At the end, the earth will be totally covered with snow (ice) making it inhabitable for any living creature!

The Chruches had speread a scare that the earth will come to an end by the year 2000. Seven years have passed since them. If the Chruches can try to befool those living in 21st Century, one can only imagine how they were fooling the gullible in the early years of Christianity!

Mathew 10:33 But whosoever shall deny before men, him will i also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
This holds true for you also if you deny JESUS, you will be denied in Heaven and the devil will accept you to be into the eternal lake of fire

half knowledge is more dangerous then no knowledge. request you to read the bible carefully.. not just some verses of it and mis-guide and provoke people. first read the bible for your self and realise.
