Builders without ethics
by Satish Vakati on Dec 12, 2007 06:58 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

Primarily, for builders economics get a precedence before quality of the structure, they use inferior steel and also compromise on the structural design of the building. Yet when we buy too we never bother to check the credentials of the builder. People breed these builders to flourish by purchasing flats from them, if someone can be blamed..., it is us!!!
Cheers

All buiders take the contract to earn as it is a business transaction. But are you aware of the problems of any government contractor? Before the work is allotted(issuing of work order) to any perspective bidder/contractor, the contractor has to dole out a minimum of 30% of the total contract amount to the officials. And the contractor's profit considered in any contract is 15%. How on earth the contractor can earn profit in any contract? The main problem lies in the system, where corruption rules. First this has to to stop. Only then the contractors can execute projects honestly & the people can flourish.

But I ask one question, what corporation is doing whien the appartment was not handed over to the corporation and let out for rent. Is it not the responsibility of the Corporation. When there is a problem, the blame is thrownon the contractors. We know all contractors are like that. But it is the responsibility of the Corporation and also the people taken on rent also partly responsible.
