Why was the government not able to prevent the post-godhra riots ?
Isn't that a failure on part of the Government. Lets assume that Muslims were responsible for the Godhra Incident...does that mean the government can sanction retribution.
It was the job of the government to see that justice was served to the victims of Godhra by punishing the people who were responsible for that.
If Modi is a great Indian leader, he should have prevented that. He maybe a good Hindu leader but not an Indian leader.
And I would say the same about the Mumbai blast after the Babri Masjid issue. Governments have to be pro-active.
In this issue, the Gujarat Government failed its CONSTITUTIONAL obligation. That is what a government is responsible to uphold...NOT THE QURAN, NOT THE BIBLE, NOT THE BHAGAWAT GEETA...

Imran all said fine, now it%u2019s the duty of at least this generation of Muslims to obey the law of the land first and then give their heads and minds out to Mullahs and Maulvis who have their own interpretations of every other activities related to the community.
You reform yourself first; the rest of the people will automatically change. It%u2019s a mutual process. Yes people in your community also have committed mistakes. Not just destroying temples in the north, but also in the south. Today antinational elements from this community are present in the south in a big way. They forget that this country gives them the freedom to move about freely. They move in the mainstream like a wolf in a herd of sheep.
Before pointing figures understand that you also are equally responsible for your state today. What goes around comes around. Give consideration to human needs first than the needs of a religion, reform with time. Don%u2019t forget that charity begins at home and not in neighbor%u2019s home.
