Very much. Today we can see how the USA education system has created a set of consumeristic and greedy generation. Apart from the only outstanding among them, they can't even do anything properly. They want the Indian education system to go that way. US education system is good for future scientists and higher education people but not for everyday folks

In western countries teachers are not allowed to punish students.
Students can leave the class and enter class at will and no discipline is expected.
Now India will also become like this in next 10-15 years . Our NGOs are working hard to pass a law to ban punishment in Schools.

It is still not the culture in schools outside big cities.
But in coming years, entire India may become like that. A generation of brats and drunkards will emerge and we cant handle them.

thats good. if that is the case, then all indian children will stay back at homes playing. any way this modern education is not teaching any character. the final gift of the modern education is only unemployment. if the child does not get educated, then he will learn to do any work of his choice (POTTERY, CARPENTRY, ETC). should we think all the professional are people of great character? No. i have observed that only an uneducated person is better off in character than a school educated fellow.
