Babar is the father of the nation of the sub-continet! God only know how many Hindu women Akbar married. So all his sons are 50% Hindu. Anyway, all the subsequent Islamic population has not come out of sub-continent but converted under political pressure or for gaining political patronage to adjust their frequency with the ruler.
They are all Indians; but converts.
Even today in Goa you have Brahmin-Christian, Kshatriya-christian, and lower caste-christians and they dont marry across the castes. Under Potugese influence all Hindus got coverted to Christianity under political pressure/ patronage and even got themselves Portugese names!

The Muslim Religion started with conversions, in every part of the world. So every muslim in India today has a history of forefathers who have converted, may be as u said due to Pressure or political mileage.

whats wrong if somebody adopts other idealogy, even your body does not accept the useless organ and those become extinct after certain evolution changes. Check your tail and appendix(vestigeal organ). This is persons own will to follow any idealism or not.

There are 2 type of conversion 1. Forceful conversion or for some materialistic benifits 2. Conversion without any pressure.

Any faith that is born out of the existing one has to have converts. Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism were borne out of the existing one which till then has no name but has to name itself to differentiate from its offspring and that is Hinduism. Until then Hinduism as Indian Supreme COurt said is a way of life but not necessarily a religion.
Likewise, Islam and Christianity were born from an existing faith which again has no name as it can not have one because if you have only one you dont need a name! SO Islam and Christianity has to have converts. There is nothing fundamentally right or wrong with it.
But the feud between Islam and Judaism is for political reasons/land than any religious differences.
