Exit Polls in Gujarat
by Joyful person on Dec 12, 2007 10:15 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

All these exit polls are influenced by Congress @ centre. Especially this CNN-IBN, NDTV, AAJ Tak are all spokepersons of congress party. So people should not take these seriously as Mr. Modi will be the victorious of the polls.

Joyful. You seem unjoyful about exit polls. And you are correct - exit polls do not have much of a record. They usually have a bias to the ruling party. That is the reason why all exit polls, including NDTV & AAJ TAK went wrong in the 2004 Lok Sabha polls. Right through the 5 phases., they projected BJP winners. At that time BJP chamchas used to quote these exit polls to score browniw points. The UP elections, post polls though giving the lead to the BSP could not fathom the final magnitude of the BSP win. This because projecting voting trends is one thing and projecting seats is another. BSP picked up seats with small margins 100-500 vote leads and magnified their lead. This was true of the 2004 Lok Sabha elections. The lesson we can draw is that what is significant is the momentum - in Gujurat all polls shows the momentum is against the BJP and for the Congress. If the past is an indicator, rather than 37 seats projected by NDTV, don't be surprised if the Congress ends up as high as 50 seats.

Very funny. If these channels predict that BJP will win 130 seats alone, then these people will tell all these channels are good channels. The channels have only said that there will be decrease in the number of seats for BJP. You people, the so called Rashtravadi people, should maintain little patience, which is the basic dharma of Hindu Religion.

Dear SP

Also it is factual the media is biased for MODI

for instance when Digvijay said Hindu Terrorist (there are no news in any media or condemnation for such words)
When Modi just uttered Soharb (evey medi on 24 x 7 basis started saying communal, did modi said aything about a particular community, caste or people) soharb is well know terrorist and to say about terrorit is not bad

When in open debate spoke person of BJP says suddenly the host intervines but allows Teesta to speak with her own time

When INDIA Tv is showing Soharb met Dawood, othter news channel are quiet to show this news, why?

In parliament members demand FASI for Modi and MAFI for Afzal the attitude of may chosen memebrs for response to terrorism is evident
