Having worked in Libya for over 10 years, I'm of the opinion that Col Gaddaffi taks the cake for completely transforming a country which could been a great place, to one of the crappiest shit-pots in tne world! Megalomania, Gaddafi is thy name!

I worked as a doctor in a hospital in a big city in Libya,where no physicsl dangers were inovlved.And I had the chance to observe the Libyan people and their society closely & impartially. I know for certain that around 6 million Libyan people are suffering just because of one man's megalomania and a peculiar form of thugocracy. I have seen little children dying for want of basic medicines, while the great wealth of the counrty is wasted on hair-brained schemes like the Great Man Made River project etc. and the majority of the citizens are reduced to penury.
You have cleared the matter well. But it will fall upon the deaf ears of the people who identify themselves more with Gulf than with India. They still think, Indians living and working in Gulf are being done a favour by the Gulf people. They are not receiving the Gulf charity that some of the religios orgs get in India. They are working for their salaries.

Sure, Akram.I made money working in extremely trying circumstances in Libya.( And not for charity! ) And to me it still remains THE shit-pot of the world.

for making money many work in exteremely dangerous situation. but are they making handsome living. nobody gives salary without work.
There are many instances where people wont get their salary for months and suffer a lot in alien country.
you are lucky that you were able to save something after 10 years.
