I am from north and curious to know that the Tamils bramins are genetically same with other Tamils or different. In nort though we oppose the braminism but consider them as our own race. Genetically we are same. I personally donot believe in Arya Dravid theory and consider them as a same group. The triables may be a different race but others are same. Since lot of mails support the different race theory so I became curios to know do they consider the Tamils bramins as their race or Aryan or something else?

Dear Mail mail, You are just plain jealous of Tamil Brahmins. They are the most non violent class. Just see the amount of insults all the media ( movies, songs, jokes)heap on them and they have never reacted unlike Muslims or other castes. They are genetically intelligent and thanks to the software boom are and will be successful. But they will never harm you Mail mail.

If they are intelligent, they should strive to remove reservations. the bcs dont usually support ecomonic criteria based reservations.
An attempt was made in Karnataka to remove caste based reservations and try economic criteria based reservations. Brhamins who are less than 10% got 90% of the top ranks.
The trouble in Tamil Nadu is that the castes are not acting in harmony unlike in other states making it possible for islamists and christianists to move in and divide the castes further.

Singha, You pose like a 'sarva sampanna and most Intelligent'. You need to read more about tamil Brahmins. 1. Karnataka is most benefitted by tamil barhmins. Great DVG, Masti, TPK, Ramanujam,Veena DS Iyengar, BKS Iyengar, Musuri KM many more... were all TB's. 2. During mysore kingdom era, they were aasthan pandiths. 3. Noble prize winners Chandrashekharan, C.V Raman were T.Bs. 4.Think of their numbers, they are just 2-3% in TN, even though they are leaders in many field. 5. World champion Vishy is a T brahmin, why no other Vishy in whole of India? 6.Film personalities? Hema, rekha, kamal, Arvind, Suhasini, Manirathnam... (list is big) 7.Musicians.. This space is not enough.
So What Shubha said is right. Tamil brahmins are naturally intelligent, it DOESNT mean others are not intelligent ok?

U R casteist and fascist because U know U r incompetent and undeserving and you are using the same argumnets which Hitler used to persecute Jews. In TN brahmins are replced by Jews.

many groups are proud of their heritage. parsees, jat sikhs, sections of shias etc.
tamil brahmins in my experience seem to be proud of their contribution to fine arts, religion, rituals etc. and the conservative ones want to maintain their exclusivity.
I dont think we should be concerned as long as they dont impose their views on others using force.

Brahmins are one of the groups like gounders, thevars, etc.
Like each of the above groups, they consider themselves different. there is no question of aryan etc here.
Such genetic differences exist in North India too.

Dear Singha, Interesting observations. Bhramins of north are also fairer than other castes. In Ramayana, the Ravan was mentioned as a noble high class bramin by cast and highly literate and knowledgeable king indicating that some bramins were there even thousands of year before.
