lawyers in india have lost old gl;ory and ethics.Once it was most respected and noble profession after that of teacher and doctor.Today it is at bottom.The lawyers are completely out of control tanks to their gang type network called bar associations and no control of any regulatory authority.being based on elections from lawyers only ,their Council and associations are powerless as office bearers are more interested to get designations rather than observe high standard of integrity and professinla efifciency of members.Since no one rgeulates them, they are exploiting clients, charge huge amount of money, dont go on dates ion court,seek adjournments, go on strike, threaten courts and magistrates and manipulate cases.They act like judge rather than simple agent and legal expert hired by a litigant.beyond this they have no economic value an dn special position in society.What is special about them.Wjhy they are being pampered? There has to be an independet agency like Judical commission to hear complaints against lawyers.Their fee structure should be fixed by Law Commission and Bar council of India for reasonable and modest earning.They may get out of this practice and do business if they want huge earnings.Blackmaling government and courts they now and then resort to boycotts and strikes and have no fear whatsoever.It is free for all at citizen's cost.This must end.They have now started acting like goonda elements using physical violence.The Rae Bareilly event will repeat.
