In India, the Parliament did not have time or inclination to amend the IPC which was drafted and coded more than 150 years ago by the then British jurists, but the constitution of free India has been amended innumerable times by them. The IPC treats killing a criminal at par with killing an innocent& law abiding people.That is why criminals thrive in our society.No doubt, nobody is entitled to take law in his hands ,but it is equally foolish to treat punishing a criminal by the society and commiting crime by criminals to harm innocent citizens. Let us raise our voice against the political parties who slept over the IPC and did not change it, so that harm done to a criminal is not treated at par with harming an innocent person .
